Matt Lautz joined the Regis University baseball program in June 2021 as a Graduate Assistant Coach. He works primarily with the hitters and outfielders.
Lautz played baseball at Santa Barbara City College from 2016-2018 before transferring to Concordia University Irvine in Irvine, CA for the 2019 and 2021 seasons. He finished his Concordia University Irvine playing career with a .343 batting average and a .448 on-base percentage.
In 2021, he was recognized as among the best NCAA DII players in the West Region by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) with First Team All-Region honors. He was also named First Team All-Region by the Division Two Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA).
Prior to college, Lautz attended Agoura Hills High School in Agoura Hills, California.
Lautz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science and is pursuing two master’s degrees, one in Coaching and Athletic Administration and the second is a Master’s in Organizational Leadership.
